What is Kanopy?
Kanopy is a video streaming service that provides instant access to thousands of critically acclaimed movies, documentaries and Kids favorites. We partner with studios like A24, The Criterion Collection, PBS and more to bring your library access to thoughtful entertainment.
Kanopy Kids is a collection of kid-friendly movies, television shows and animated stories. Find fun and educational selections including PBS Kids programs and full-episodes of Sesame Street. Little ones can enjoy stories with animated titles like Mo Willem’s Pigeon books and the Scaredy Squirrel series.
How can I watch Kanopy?
You can stream Kanopy on any of your favorite devices! Kanopy is accessible via mobile and tablet apps for iPhone and Android. You can also access Kanopy on your Desktop, and SmartTV apps like Roku, Apple TV, and Fire Stick.
How do I create an account?
- To get started with Kanopy Kids, visit sewickleylibrary.kanopy.com/kids and select the “Watch Now” button on the bottom of the screen
- Enter your Sewickley Public Library library card number
- Create an account using your preferred email
- Begin streaming!
Are there any limits?
There are unlimited views in the Kanopy Kids and Great Courses collections. There is a limit to 10 downloads a month on your account for all other titles.
Kanopy can be accessed by Sewickley Public Library account holders. Cards issued by other libraries may not be eligible. If you have questions regarding eligibility, contact the library at 412-741-6920 or sewickley@einetwork.net.
